My Journey

Where do I begin? My fascination with technology dates back to my childhood in the 90s, a time when the digital revolution was just taking off. I was among those lucky enough to be introduced to the internet at a relatively young age, and I vividly remember the first time I discovered it. The internet felt like stepping into an entirely new dimension, a boundless world that captivated my young mind. I was instantly hooked.

This digital wonderland was just the beginning. As a teenager, I found myself deeply immersed in the realms of video games and computers. I spent countless hours lost in games, exploring virtual worlds, and tinkering with my computer, always curious about how it worked and what more I could do with it.

Amidst this growing tech obsession, my love for movies, particularly sci-fi, played a significant role in shaping my dreams and aspirations. Films like "Star Trek," "Aliens," "Blade Runner," and "Star Wars" were not just entertainment; they were a gateway to vast universes and futuristic ideas. These movies expanded my imagination and fueled my fascination with technology and AI. The way these films portrayed advanced technology and interstellar adventures sparked a deep curiosity in me about what the future of technology could hold and how it could transform our reality.

This combination of early internet exposure, a passion for gaming and computers, and the influence of groundbreaking sci-fi movies laid the groundwork for my enduring passion for technology. It's these early experiences that led me down the path to where I am today, deeply embedded in the world of tech, always looking forward to the next big innovation.

Many years later, I'm still that boy, still in front of many computer screens, still fascinated by technology, and still dreaming of the future. I've been fortunate enough to turn my passion into a career, and I've spent the last decade working as a software engineer, building software products and solutions for a variety of industries.

What is Athrael.net?

Athrael.net is a blog about everything, everywhere, all at once (Ha! But not about the movie, unfortunately). Think of it as a personal blog where I share my thoughts and experiences on a variety of topics, including software development, technology, and life in general. There's going to be some AI in there too, as I'm currently working on a few exciting AI projects that I can't wait to share with you.
